2. Services Provided

CV Laptop Repair offers diagnostics, laptop and PC repairs, motherboard-level repairs, screen replacements, SSD upgrades, software troubleshooting, and general technical support.

All services are carried out with reasonable skill and care. However, due to the nature of electronics repair, no repair can be guaranteed to be successful in every case.

3. Diagnostics & Assessment

  • Diagnostics may be free or charged depending on the complexity of the issue. Any diagnostic fee will be communicated upfront.

  • Diagnostic results are based on visible symptoms and testing. Hidden or secondary faults may only become apparent after initial repairs.

  • If a device is deemed beyond economical repair, you will be informed before any work is carried out.

4. Repair Authorisation

By leaving your device with CV Laptop Repair, you authorise us to:

  • Perform diagnostics

  • Carry out agreed repairs

  • Access hardware and software necessary to complete the service

No repair work will begin without your approval.

5. Parts, Pricing & Quotes

  • All prices are quoted in GBP (£).

  • Quotes are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices may vary depending on part availability and supplier changes.

  • Used or refurbished parts may be offered as a cost‑effective alternative, but only with your consent.

6. Turnaround Time

We aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible. However:

  • Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.

  • Delays may occur due to part availability, complexity, or unforeseen issues.

7. Warranty

7.1 Repair Warranty

  • Hardware repairs typically include a 30‑day warranty on the work carried out.

  • Warranty covers the specific repair performed, not unrelated faults.

  • Parts provided will come with 12 months warranty.

7.2 Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage after collection

  • Liquid damage

  • Accidental damage

  • Software issues

  • Damage caused by user modification or third‑party repair attempts

Motherboard‑level repairs may have limited or no warranty due to the nature of micro‑soldering work.

8. Data & Liability

8.1 Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up their data before repair. Although we take care, CV Laptop Repair is not liable for data loss.

8.2 Liability Limitations

CV Laptop Repair is not responsible for:

  • Pre‑existing damage

  • Future faults unrelated to the repair

  • Loss of income or business due to device failure

Maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.

9. Uncollected Devices

Devices left uncollected for 60 days after repair completion may be recycled, sold, or disposed of to recover costs. We will attempt to contact you before this happens.

10. Payments

Payment is due upon collection of the device. We accept cash, card and bank transfer.

11. Refunds

  • Diagnostic fees are non‑refundable.

  • Refunds for parts or repairs are only issued if the part or repair fails within the warranty period and cannot be rectified.

  • No refunds for issues unrelated to the original repair.

12. Website Use
